- Separate the back from the screen and open as shown. Make sure to open from the side with the power button to avoid damaging the ribbon cables.

- Using the plastic spudger, lift the black latches for the ribbon cables and slide the cables out of their sockets. Now the two halves can be separated.

- There are 14 3mm long screws surrounding the screen. Using the #00 Phillips screwdriver, remove all of these screws.

- Using the metal spudger, depress the four plastic tabs to free the glass from the display.

- Use the metal spudger again to get between the glass and the chrome trim ring. Lightly pry the glass away from the display. If this proves difficult, double check that all of the screws have been removed and that all four plastic clips are pushed in. Again, start from the side opposite the ribbon cable to avoid damaging it.

- Once the glass and display have been separated, pull the glass away from the display and carefully slide the ribbon cable out of the display housing.
