You have plugged your camera in and it is not charging.

You may be using an incorrect charger or a charger that does not provide enough power. Refer to the user manual to locate the correct charger.

The charger may be broken and in need of replacement.

The device may be fully functional make sure that the outlet you are using works by using another device or plugging the charger into a different outlet.

The battery may have been inserted backward, following the Battery Access Guide and then to take the battery out, match the contact points of the battery with the contact points in the camera, and put it back in.

If the lithium ion battery is unable to hold a charge or won’t charge, follow the Battery Access Guide to replace it.

Camera is not turning on or otherwise responding.

Check to see if the battery is in the camera

Charge the device for an hour or more to see if the battery is just dead and in need of a charge

Faulty or dirty seals have allowed water into the device and the device will need cleaned or replace. Replace the seals using the Seal Replacement Guide.

The screen is black or not displaying correctly or it has been damaged.

If the screen is broken due follow , LCD Screen Replacement guide to replace the screen.

‘The screen is black, but the camera seems to be on.’'

This is likely caused by water damage to the unit, follow LCD Screen Replacement guide to replace the screen.

=== Screen has dirt or other debris between the outer and inner screen, follow LCD Screen Replacement guide to remove the screen for cleaning.

The buttons are not responding when pressed or are responding only part of the time.

If the buttons on the back panel become sticky from food, liquid or debris, follow the Back Panel & Button Access Guide to remove that back panel and inspect and clean the buttons.

If the buttons stop working completely they can be replaced by following the Back Panel & Button Access Guide or the Shutter Button Access Guide depending on the buttons affected

If you depress the shutter button when the camera is on and nothing happens, follow the Shutter Button Access Guide to inspect and clean the shutter button.

The camera is allowing water in.

If a seal has been damaged or has lost its waterproofing capability follow the Seal Replacement Guide to access the damaged seals.

The shell of the camera may have been compromised if it has experienced severe trauma.

Dirt or some other article is showing up in pictures or Lens is damaged or not functioning correctly.

If damage to the camera has allowed particles in, follow the Lens Box Access Guide to remove the lens box and inspect the device

To replace the lens box, follow the Lens Box Access Guide.
