The Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 is a waterproof camera. Unfortunately this puts it at higher risk to water damage. If you fear that water has leaked into your camera, be sure to turn off your camera immediately, and dry the camera before opening the battery/card cover to avoid anymore water getting in. Open the Battery/card cover, remove the battery and memory card, and let the water evaporate. If the camera will no longer turn on, the battery may have gotten wet and needs replacing. If the camera still won’t turn on after the battery is replaced, the motherboard may also need to be replaced.

The camera can be used in salt water, but must be soaked in fresh water for 10 minutes after. After soaking it, you should dry it off with a soft towel and then leave it in a shaded area with ventilation.

The camera should not be used in hot water such as hot springs, or any other liquid that is not water. If this happens, the camera may have melted in some places and you should check for leaks.

If the photographs taken with the camera are blurry, check your camera settings and do some experimenting. The best way to solve this problem is to get to know your camera settings. You can check the camera manual for more details.

If your camera won’t turn on, it is likely because of a drained battery. Use the USB cable provided with your camera to charge the battery. If it still doesn’t turn on, you may need to replace the battery, or the USB cable may be faulty. If replacing the battery still will not work, the problem may lie with an internal part of the camera that needs replacing.

If the LCD screen in unresponsive it may need replacing. LCD screens can also have problems such as dead pixels, cracking, and many more. It can also be an internal issue in the camera. These problems can occur due to rough use of the camera.

There are different settings for the flash, so if you are unsatisfied with the flash, you may want to experiment with the settings. You can find these settings by referring to the camera manual on the Olympus website. If the flash is not working it may be faulty and needs replacing.
