Released March 2008 A point and shoot camera, with CCD sensors and a 10.1 MP Resolution. Water, freeze, dust, and shock proof.

The camera will not turn on

The issue could be that the battery has not been charged, the charger is not fully inserted, or could be faulty itself. Verify that the battery is properly charged. If the charger isn’t working, it would be best to find a replacement for it.

The battery might not be fully inserted, so make sure that the camera makes a click sound to indicate the battery is interested. If not, the battery could be faulty. Refer to our guide on how to install the battery here.

The battery could have gotten wet or filled with debris, causing the battery to die, regardless of how many times it is charged. If the battery powers on, or the buttons been to quickly turn off, the battery could be drained from repeated use. If the issues persist, the battery might need a replacement. Refer to our guide on how to install the battery here.

If none of the issues above apply, it could mean an issue with the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard replacement guide which can be found here.

The camera is not working the way it is supposed to

If the screen is not responsive, the system might need to be rebooted. If that fails or the problem seems worse, the screen might need to be replaced.

The microphone area may be dirty or damaged, causing the sound to not work or sound odd. Disassembly and cleaning of the camera may be needed. The guide on how to disassemble the camera can be found here.

The camera body is not the same/parts not working properly

The power and/or flash button may be jammed due to possible debris within the area, and may require disassembly in order to clean it. Our disassembly guide can be found here.
