What you need

  • Lay the camera on its back as shown. Using the button located to the right of the lens, hold it down while rotating the lens to release it from the camera.

  • Extend out the screen so you can reach the screws. Remove the a total of four screws using a Phillips #00 at the top and the back of the screen.
  • This step has two types of screws. (2x) 3.5 mm on the top, (2x) 1.7 mm on the back.

Step 3

  • Pull the screen away from the base of the camera. Then disconnect the cable connectors from the circuit board. Be sure to remove the smaller circuit board with care.

  • Separate the screen from the camera. Now you are able to install your replacement screen

Hi, do you know if the LCD screen from the Mark II is the exact same as the Mark III? I see replacements for the Mark II being sold, but they don’t say whether they’re compatible.

Hey Solomon I am experiencing the same issue. Did you find out if they are exactly the same?? My LCD screen no longer functions and all I come across online is the Mark II LCD’s.
