Camera is plugged in, but is not charging or holding charge.
Press and hold the On/Off button to turn on your camera. If this does not work and camera does not turn on, your battery may not be charged. In order to address this issue, plug the USB cord into the camera and place into the wall outlet. If the problem persists, the battery may be defective. Consider replacing the battery. The charging port may be dirty or damaged. Try to blow the dirt out using your breath or canned air spray. If that doesn’t work, the problem might be with your USB cord or the charging adapter. Make sure that your adaptor is plugged in. Then try a different outlet. If the problem seems to persist, try using a different USB cord or a new charging adaptor.
Latch closing the battery compartment is broken .
If you can visually see that the battery cover is broken, it may cause issues with camera’s functionality. It may be allowing dirt and debris to damage the battery. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the battery cover. See Nikon COOLPIX S3600 Battery Cover Replacement.
Camera is taking pictures but not saving them.
The camera takes pictures, but does not save them to the memory card. Remove the memory card and reinsert, to ensure proper placement. If the problem persists the memory card may need to be replaced. See Nikon COOLPIX S3600 Memory Card Replacement Guide.
