The Coolpix 3500 is a 3.2 megapixel camera made by Nikon in the mid 2002’s.

The display does is black when the device is turned on.

The camera may be in sleep mode. Press the shutter release button halfway to turn the display on.

The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Try replacing the battery.

The USB cable is connected to the device causing the display to turn off. Remove the USB cable.

The LCD display may be broken. Try replacing the LCD.

The camera turns off right after powered on.

Replace the logic board.

The flash does not fire when taking photos.

The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Tryreplacing the battery.

Replace the flash assembly.

The camera is unable to focus when taking photos.

Replace the lens.

Unable to take photos.

The lens is blocked by camera body. Rotate lens section until device is ready.

Insufficient memory to record pictures at current settings and or not present. Replace the memory card.

Images have a strong color tint, totally black and or, visibly defective.

The camera has suffered from external damage.

Replace the outer casing.
