Introduction
PLEASE NOTE: This repair guide was developed by the iFixit team based on Newport’s own service manual. Neither iFixit nor this repair guide is endorsed by or affiliated with Newport.
Replacing the air inlet filter is discussed in:
- chapter 8-3 “Cleaning and Maintenance - Air Intake Filter” of user manualchapter 5-7 “Service and Repair - Air Inlet Filter” of service manual
Step 1
shut down the ventilator
- The momentary-type power switch is located on the left side rear of the ventilator along the bottom edge. Press the power switch once.
- A message appears in the screen that prompts you to Press Accept to Shutdown or Press Cancel to Ignore.
- Pressing the Accept button will power off the ventilator.
- Pressing Cancel will return the ventilator to its previous state.
- Press Alarm Silence to silence the Shut Down alarm.

disconnect from power
- Disconnect the ventilator from the AC power.

remove air filter cover
- The inlet air filter is located on the right-hand side of the device.
- Turn the knurled screws counter-clockwise to remove.
- Slide the inlet filter cover assembly toward the back of the device and lift it out.
- Remove the Air Inlet Filter Gasket by carefully pulling it away from the side of the device.

Step 4
replace filter
- Replace the air inlet filter.

Step 5
place back gasket
- The service manual makes the following note: To reattach Air Inlet Filter Gasket, use adhesive NMI part number ADH110P. Apply the adhesive to the rear surface of the gasket avoiding the slotted areas. Align the tab in the gasket with the slot on the device and press firmly and allow curing overnight before returning to service.

Step 6
place back air filter cover
- Slide the air filter cover back on.
- Turn the knurled screws clockwise to insert.
Slide the air filter cover back on.
Turn the knurled screws clockwise to insert.
- Connect the ventilator back to the AC power.Turn the ventilator back on into standby mode by pressing the power switch once.While in standby mode you can make settings changes and perform the Circuit Check prior to ventilation.
Cancel: I did not complete this guide.
