If the camera has a blue light circling then the camera is not online

Try moving the camera closer to the wifi source or the router

Check if your home wifi is working and is stable

Check if your home router is working, try restarting the router

Try to restart your nest cam

The video will not show up on the app

Make sure the google nest app is updated to the latest version

If the app the previous solution did not work then try restarting the camera

The power cord to the nest cam may not be plugged in or could be broken

Check if the outlet that the power cord is plugged into is working

Unplug the nest cam for 10 seconds and plug it back in

Nest cam gets physically hot and shuts off

Nest cams are designed to be installed inside, if installing outside keep out of light and unvented locations

Unplug the nest cam for a couple minutes occasionally to ensure the nest cam does not overheat

Nest cam’s night vision mode does not activate with lighting conditions, or has a purple/pink/blue hue when turning on

Open the home app and tap the camera you want. Select “video”. Under “Night Vision”, select from “Always on”, “Auto” or “Off”
