Remove Large Spring
- Remove the larger spring from the catch mechanism.

Remove the Catch Mechanism & Spring
- Remove the catch mechanism and spring by gently lifting it straight up and off the metal pin that holds it.
- The catch spring has a tendency to bounce away when removed.

Replace the Catch Spring
- After removing the old catch spring, place the new catch spring back on the tip of the catch mechanism.
- If you are unable to find an exact replacement, one may be fashioned out of a pen spring.

Putting the Catch Mechanism Back
- Carefully replace the catch mechanism so that it is seated in the grooves and over the metal pin.
