- Locate and remove the dome nut with a 10mm open-end wrench.

- Inspect brake pad for wear.

- Dome nut (left), lock washer (middle), and brake pad (right).
- Be sure to save the dome nut and lock washer just in case the replacement brake shoe does not include them.

Step 4
- When installing the new brake shoe, make sure it is properly aligned so it is in full contact with the edge of the rim.
