  • Locate and remove the dome nut with a 10mm open-end wrench.

  • Inspect brake pad for wear.

  • Dome nut (left), lock washer (middle), and brake pad (right).
  • Be sure to save the dome nut and lock washer just in case the replacement brake shoe does not include them.

Step 4

  • When installing the new brake shoe, make sure it is properly aligned so it is in full contact with the edge of the rim.

To install your new brake shoes, follow these instructions in reverse order.
