What you need
Step 1
Open the back cover
- Start by taking out the battery and charger. No power should be connected.
- Unscrew the 4 Phillips #1 screws marked in the photo.
- This screw is hidden under the Warranty void sticker!
- All screws are the same length, so don’t worry about mixing them up
- Use a spudger or your finger to gently but firmly open the cover.
- It’s stuck in there with clips, so be a little careful. (Remember; If you feel like you’re using too much force, you probably are).

Step 2
Identify the WiFi card and remove
- The WiFi card has two antenna cables (one white and one black).
- Use a spudger to carefully unhook the antenna contacts.
- Unscrew the Phillips #0 screw holding the WiFi card down. (This is not the same screw as the others).

Step 3
Replace WiFi card
- Take the old card out of the mini PCI Express slot, and replace with a new and compatible card.
- In my case I only had a direct replacement, which only supports 802.11b/g standards.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
