The laptop does not turn on for any reason.

In cases where the computer cannot turn on or fails to run programs, either the RAM is faulty and needs to be replaced, or more RAM needs to be added. This can be done by unscrewing the bottom of the computer, locating the RAM cartridges, removing the current RAM, and then replacing them with new sticks. See the RAM replacement guide for more detailed instructions.

Check to make sure all ports are clear of dust or anything that may be blocking a complete connection between the computer and the charger. To ensure that the computer is not the issue, be sure to use the recommended 180W MSI GP62MVR 6RF Leopard Pro AC Adapter Charger. If the laptop still does not charge, the charging port or battery may need to be replaced. The battery can be replaced by unscrewing the bottom cover and replacing the battery pack. See the battery replacement guide on how to replace the battery.

Some of the pixels are off-color and will not change when the display on the computer does.

The screen may sometimes present with odd pixels, discolored or incorrect textures, or may fail to display anything at all. This is most likely either a problem with the ribbon connection to the motherboard or the screen has been damaged. To replace the screen, pull off the side cover of the screen and replace the ribbon and screen display. More detailed instructions on replacing the screen can be found on this guide.

The computer turns on but upon booting, a blue screen error occurs.

If the computer is overheating, one or both of the fans need to be replaced or cleaned. To help with that, make sure no dust or other obstacles are in the way of the fan causing the cooling system to operate at a less than optimal standard. Replacing the fans can be achieved by removing the bottom cover and removing the screws holding the fans in place in addition to the cables connecting each of the fans to the motherboard. See this guide on replacing the fans.

The computer has run out of storage or its storage is corrupt.

If the Solid State Drive (SSD) is full and storage needs to be expanded or the SSD has been corrupted, then the SSD can be replaced. Adding external storage may help as well. See this guide on replacing the SSD.

The computer displays a blue screen during normal use.

The laptop processor or graphics processor can be overclocked to improve speed and graphics performance. Special software is required to increase the clock speed and voltage input of the laptop components. Try increasing the input voltage to eliminate frequent blue screens. Be careful as too much voltage can overheat and harm the components.
