Note: If possible, make sure your battery is completely depleted before replacing it. If a lithium-ion battery is punctured during replacement, it may spark and create a fire.
What you need

Ear Cushion
- Place the iFixit opening tool between the soft ear cushion and the hard plastic of the speaker.
- Pry the soft ear cushion away from the hard plastic using a moderate amount of pressure.
- There is adhesive holding the ear cushion to the speaker so it may take a little patience to remove.
- Applying too much pressure can damage ear cushion.

- Remove the ear cushion away from the speaker to completely detach it from the headphones.

Battery
- Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the six screws holding the red plastic cover in place.
- Carefully peel the plastic cover off the left cup to reveal the ear cup’s internal components.
- There is some adhesive holding the red cover down so be careful as you remove it so it doesn’t break or crack.

Step 4
- Use the JIS J00 screwdriver to remove the 3 screws that secure the black cover.

- Remove the black cover to reveal the battery. The battery is attached to the back of the black cover.
- The plastic cover of the headphones is connected to the battery housing by a wire connector. Be careful not to harm this cable by pulling the cap too hard during disassembly.
- Undo the cable and remove the battery.
