Step 2

  • Use the T6 torx screwdriver to remove the seven screws located around the headphone cover and place the screws in a safe place.
  • To avoid stripping screws, be sure to use the right drill bit oriented perpendicular to the face of the screw.

  • Carefully lift the speaker out of its housing while leaving all wires connected.

Step 4

  • Lift the module out of the headphone cup, leaving all wires attached.
  • Clip the two wires circled in orange.
  • Now that the speaker is free set it aside.
  • Clip the two wires circled in yellow.
  • Replace speaker module and solder it to the two wires circled in orange.
  • Now solder the speaker wires (circled in yellow) back to the module.

Lift the module out of the headphone cup, leaving all wires attached.

Clip the two wires circled in orange.

Now that the speaker is free set it aside.

Clip the two wires circled in yellow.

Replace speaker module and solder it to the two wires circled in orange.

Now solder the speaker wires (circled in yellow) back to the module.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
