What you need

Step 1

              Remove the rear cover               
  • Before removing the battery, power off your Moto E4.
  • Remove the plastic cover by gently prying it up from the notch at the bottom right corner of the phone.
  • With the phone face down, lift the battery up by the labeled tab and remove it from the device.

Step 2

              Charging Port               
  • Remove the six 4mm screws from the bottom plastic cover with a Phillips driver bit.

  • Gently pry the plastic cover from the phone using an iFixit opening tool.
  • Once loose, remove the plastic cover from the phone.

Step 4

  • Detach the two ribbon cable connectors from the top of the board using an iFixit opening tool.
  • Unplug the antenna cable connector from the board using an iFixit opening tool.

Step 5

  • Lift the vibrator out of its slot using the Halberd Spudger hook.

  • Remove the two 4mm silver screws holding down the charging port board with Phillips bit.

Step 7

  • Place the iFixit opening tool underneath the board in between the micro USB port and the microphone.
  • Push forward and lift gently until the board lifts up.
  • Remove the charging port board from the device.

Remove the charging port board from the device.

Step 8

              Vibrator               
  • Gently pull the vibrator upwards to remove the vibrator wires from the silver clasp holding the wires to the board.
  • Pull directly upwards to remove the vibrator from its connector.

Gently pull the vibrator upwards to remove the vibrator wires from the silver clasp holding the wires to the board.

Pull directly upwards to remove the vibrator from its connector.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
