Step 4
Remove the button
- Use a small pin spanner to unscrew the button.
- If you don’t have access to the proper spanner, you can use a pair of tweezers, a very small screwdriver, or a paperclip to unscrew the button assembly. Insert your chosen tool into one of the grooves around the button and push sideways.
- There is blue thread locker on these threads, so light heat on the button may help to soften the thread locker.
- Remove the button.
- There is a small red o-ring that may fall off the button threads when the button is removed. Make sure not to lose the o-ring.

Step 6
- Hold the outer watch case steady and push against the bottom of the inner assembly to remove the inner assembly from the frame.
- It should not take much force to push the inner assembly out of the watch frame. If it seems stuck, make sure that you’ve rotated the inner assembly far enough to release it from the frame.

Its far easier to remove watch from body by unscrewing the crown, remove the bottom ring then heat the bezel a little so that you can turn the bezel about 10mm counter clockwise with a razor blade edge, then push the whole body of the watch through the metal casing and it should come out easily through the top of the watch in one piece making it easier to access the pcb without damaging anything

This guide here should be either revised or taken down.
It leads to broken watch if you tried to follow. I was lucky to step out from step 5 and followed the other guide instead…

That last step will destroy the screen btw. Sticking a knife down the side to pry it out will just rip the backlight off the lcd. You put even pressure on the glass on the front to pop it out of the back, might take a while as it’s stuck in. warming it will help.
