- Before you begin, ensure the device is powered down and cool to the touch.

Drain the air from the compressor
- Pull the ring on the safety release valve away from the compressor tank to drain the air from the compressor.
- Ensure all air is drained from the tank before beginning repairs.

Step 3
Remove the pump head
- Use a 10 mm socket to remove the four bolts securing the pump head.
- These bolts have washers, take care not to lose them.

- Lift the pump head off of the cylinder and gently set it aside.
- Take care to avoid stressing the hoses connected to the pump head.
- For the rest of this guide, note the order and orientation of everything you remove for correct reassembly.

Remove the upper valve plate
- Remove the upper valve plate.
- Take care not to lose the small rectangular valves sitting on the plates.

Remove the pump head gasket
- Peel the pump head gasket off of the upper valve plate.
- The pump head gasket may have stuck to the bottom of the pump head. If this is the case, remove it from the pump head.

Remove the lower valve plate
- Remove the lower valve plate.

Remove the valve plate gasket
- Remove the valve plate gasket from the lower valve plate.
- The valve plate gasket may have stuck to the bottom of the upper valve plate. If this is the case, remove it from the upper valve plate.

Remove the cylinder gasket
- Peel the cylinder gasket off of the cylinder.
- The cylinder gasket may have stuck to the bottom of the lower valve plate. If this is the case, remove it from the lower valve plate."
- During reassembly, make sure to install everything in the correct order and orientation. Use the last image in this step or the device diagram for reference.
