User will notice a substantial amount of heat coming from the tool during operation and potentially failure of the tool while still powered on.
Dismantle the tool and apply decent lubrication to the points of connection for the gears and crankshaft.
Disconnect the battery and hold it. If it feels hot to touch you have a faulty battery. If it is not hot, check to make sure the battery connection is clean and replace the battery.
User will notice that the tool will not power on despite having a charged battery.
Ensure the charger is properly plugged in and the charge light is on. If the light is not on, and the charger is plugged in, the charger is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement charger.
Replace the battery with another charged battery and see if the tool will turn on. If it does not turn on it may be a problem with the battery connection. Check to make sure the battery has a good connection to the tool, cleaning out the connection area.
User will notice unwanted movement in the drive square.
If the drive square does not rotate properly when turned on or it appears to not fit properly in the tool it will need to be replaced. Replace worn or broken drive square with a functional 3/8" drive square.
User will notice the LEDs to be flashing.
Try turning the drill off and then back on. If the problem persists disassemble the drill and check the wires connecting the LEDs to the battery. These might need to be replaced.
User will notice the tool does not turn when the switch is pressed.
Check the wiring and battery connection of the tool. If the wiring is disconnected or broken, replace the necessary wiring. If the battery connection is not secure, clean the battery connection and check to make sure it is wired properly to the tool. Replace the battery.
If the tool does not turn on when the switch is held down and the battery is charged disassemble the tool and make sure that the switch is making the appropriate contacts when pressed.
User will hear skipping and grinding of gears while the tool is in operation.
If the rotary tool is making unusual sounds when running, and those sounds intensify when a load is applied, you may have worn down gears. The tool should be disassembled and the gears should be replaced. This guide can be found here. If the problem persists the gear connection may not be tight enough.
