The wrench will not power on or show any response.

Make sure the cord is not loosely connected to an outlet, or an extension cord. Ensure the prongs are not bent on the tools cord. Check to see if the cords prongs are corroded, if so clean them and plug in the cord.

After following a previous step, the forward/reverse switch button may be stuck and may be preventing the wrench from power on. See Forward/ Reverse switch does not work.

The AC power cord may be damaged or have bent prongs. Straighten prongs if possible and reconnect to outlet. If the cord is missing insulation and bare wire is exposed do not attempt to use the tool. Replace the cord immediately using Power cord replacement guide.

The bearing inside of the motor may be misaligned, rusted, or otherwise seized. Follow this guide to replace the rear bearing.

Brushes may be worn from use. Use this guide to replace the brushes and check if they are properly secured.

If there is evidence of arcing, corrosion, or burnt components on the motor and or switch wires they may need replacement. Check this guide to replace motor wiring in the device.

If you notice the slow speed of the rotation, it may be because of the rear bearing. The bearings may be seized or worn out. Check this guide to work on replacement of the rear bearings.

The forward/reverse switch is unresponsive

If the switch can be pressed and the device does not activate then the switch may be faulty. Replace the switch using this guide.

  • Switch power connections may be damaged.Power connections to the switch may have become loose or broken.Ensure that there is no corrosion on the power connections to the switch.Tighten all connections to the switch and check to see if the wires are in good repair.

If the switch can not be pressed then the forward/reverse switch may be stuck. To resolve this issue, remove the outer shell to get to the switch and clean the area around the switch and add grease. If cleaning and lubrication of the switch assembly does not fix the issue then switch replacement may be necessary.

Gears may be stripped or otherwise damaged and need replacement.
