The impact driver doesn’t seem to run like normal, or it makes a weird noise when it’s in use.

An issue that is common in impact drivers that creates a unusual noise on startup is a lack of lubrication maintenance.

A common issue here is the lack of lubrication to the motor shaft as well as the impact anvil. To reach the motor shaft and anvil you must first remove off the front hammer case. This can be done with a normal Phillips screwdriver. After the hammer case is removed we suggest using a lubricant such as WD40 or a lithium grease to lubricate critical components inside the drill.

The drill bit seems to slip when tightly fastening a fastener into place.

If you are having trouble with the interaction between the drill bit itself and fastener you are using, it is likely time to replace the drill bit. Overtime and through frequent use the drill bit will wear down and become rounded and deformed, drill bits can be bought for fairly cheap and come in bulk packaging.

To replace the drill bit, extend the chuck compartment and the drill bit should pop out. After the bit is out, remove it and replace it with a new bit.

The drill bit doesn’t seem to properly seat into the impact driver.

This issue is typically due to one of two simple solutions.

The drill bit you are using has become worn down from frequent use and should be replaced as stated previously. To replace the drill bit extend the chuck compartment and the bit should pop out. Remove the worn down bit and replace with a new one.

The inside of the chuck should be cleaned, this can be done with any form of compressed air with relative ease. To Clean the chuck remove the drill bit by extending the chuck forward. After the drill bit is removed use a clean rag wipe down any left over residue and filth from the chuck.

The device does not spin when the trigger is pulled, and does not do any other function.

The drill not powering on is linked to two problems.

The problem may be that they device battery is not charged. Make sure that the battery is fully charged. If the batter is charged and the device is still not working, the battery itself may need to be replaced.

The trigger mechanism may also be a cause of the device not powering on. Consider blowing compressed air between the trigger and the plastic housing of the cover.

The device will not start or seem to function despite having been charged.

If the device is not working when turned on and fully charged it may need to have its battery replaced. Charge the device fully, and if the device is still not working replace the battery. This can be found here in the battery replacement guide.
