What you need

Step 1

              Problem and description of function
  • Problem: The water is not being heated. Nevertheless, the heating rod is hot at the end of the rinse cycle. There is sufficient water in the machine, even if the heating rod is not submerged.
  • Function: The heating is enabled via the pressure box using the circulation pressure of the flushing water. The water pressure is transmitted from the circulation pump to the pressure socket via a hose as thick as a finger. After sufficient water has run into the machine, the pressure switch should normally respond.

  • The pressure switch is located behind the sheet metal cover and is accessible from the front. Switching can be heard as a clicking sound, somewhat louder than the click of a ballpoint pen.

  • Solution: The pressure socket on my machine switched briefly, but did not stay on. I used a screwdriver to remove the adjusting screw on the pressure socket until the heating remained switched on.
