The Kinect will not turn on despite all of your efforts.
Check if the Kinect is securely plugged into an outlet.
If you plugged it in and it still won’t turn on, try plugging it into a different outlet.
Check along the length of the power cord to see if it is damaged.
If there is damage, you can try repairing the wire for splicing the wires together which may be quite difficult. Some information about splicing the wire can found Dog chewed through Kinect USB Cable - help!
If the three previous steps did not solve the issue, the problem may lie in a damaged motherboard.
To replace the motherboard, you can follow this guide
When you move to the edge of the screen, the Kinect does not rotate to follow your body.
Check the gears within the stand and test if the gears are able to rotate smoothly. If lint or dirt is stuck in between the gears, try removing with q-tips or tweezers. Do not try to remove it roughly to prevent damage to the gears.
If the gears are not connected or even not compete, you may need to replace the gear system.
To replace the gear system, you can follow this guide.
Instead of replacing the motor, you would only need to follow the guide until you get to the gears.
If the gears turn freely and do not look damaged, the motor may be damaged

No matter how loud you talk or where you speak, the microphone doesn’t respond to any commands.
Calibration sets the audio settings depending on the room the calibration occurs. If you have moved furniture around after calibrating your Kinect, you may need to re-calibrate the Kinect.
If the microphone doesn’t pick up any sound regardless of what you do, you may need to replace it entirely.

No matter how much you move, the Kinect does not register a user.
If there is visible dirt/lint on the lenses, clean them off with a soft-bristled brush so that you won’t scratch them. With smudges, clean with a microfiber cloth, wiping in a circular motion. If it does not remove the smudge, apply a few drops of lens cleaning solution to the cloth (NOT TO THE LENS ITSELF) and continue wiping.
If the cameras are damaged, with either scratched lenses or completely dead cameras, they may need to be replaced.
