- Slide the battery cover off in the direction of the arrow on the cover.

- Remove the batteries (2 AA).

- Replace with new batteries, preferably of same brand to avoid possible corrosion.
- Make sure the positive and negative ends of the batteries align with the positive and negative connections in the battery compartment.
- Check to make sure the boat is functional. If it is not powering on, consult the troubleshooting page.
