Introduction

The Atlantis MAV9750AWW is very good machine and it worth it to fix it. This kit is approximativly 160$ CAD.

What you need

  • remove agitator, and thub

  • remove hub by unscrew it. use two pipe wrech or cut it.

  • assemble new part on the transmission. The 4 srew

  • The original screw was 4 x 1" M8 - 1.5 self treaded, screw was damage and rusty, New from Maytag are 10$ each and are not so good. I change it for stainless stel screw. Could not find M8 on stainelss stel I use a equivalent 5/16-18.

  • Use tap to tread the hub. Don’t forget to remplace the nylon washer and I add a stainless stel washer also.

  • remove corrosion if required, check electrical connection. (I paint the botom and re-do ground connection.)

If you dont have the special tool to remove the hub:

Remove the thub, take the whole transmission out of the washer machine to have some room to work.

Take two pipe wrech one on the hub, the other on the bottom of the transmission and unscrew the hub, work hard. On my side, I was not able to unscrew it, I cut the hub wit a grinder it was the fastest way. becarful to not cut the shaft. Finish the work with a big shissel and hammer.

Reasembling is easy.

Pour réassembler votre appareil, suivez les instructions dans l’ordre inverse.
