This is a trouble shooting page for the Matsunichi MarquisPad MP977. It will leave you with solutions to basic issues you may encounter with your device.

The MarquisPad will not power on when pressing the power button.
Plug the charger into the device, and plug the other end into the wall. Allow it to charge for at least 4 hours; then turn on.
Hold down the power button until the device turn off. Wait a few minutes; then turn the device back on.
Obtain a charging cord for the device that plugs into the device on one end, and has a USB plug on the other end. Plug this USB end into the computer and try to reset the device.
The front facing camera will not take photos.
Hold down the power button until the device turns off. Wait a few minutes; then turn it back on.
Find the settings tab, select “About This Device” to see the memory usage distribution. If the memory usage is full, the device will not be able to store new images, you may need to delete items off the device before proceeding.
Again, under the settings tab on your device, select “Camera” to view its settings, be sure the camera is turned on.
Be sure that the camera is clean and clear and there is nothing covering the camera while you are trying to use it.
The MarquisPad will not charge even when plugged into the charger.
Check the alignment of the charging head in the charging port. If they are not flush, the device will not charge properly.
Check the connection between the USB charging cord and the USB port on the wall power adapter or computer. If the USB head is not seated in the receiving port correctly, the device will not charge properly.
Make sure the wall outlet being used is live by plugging in a different device, such as a lamp. An alternative is to test your charging plug on a different outlet to see if it is the outlet or your charging cord that’s damaged.
If you do come to the conclusion that it may be an issue with your charging cord, glance over the cord for any damage. If you can observe an exposed wire or major issues, you may need to purchase a new charging cord.
The microphone is not being recognized by the device and cannot be used.
Again, under the settings tab on your device, select “Microphone” to view its settings, be sure the microphone is turned on.
Be sure that the microphone is clean and clear and there is nothing covering the microphone while you are trying to use it.
The password is not being recognized, and therefore the device cannot be used.
Select the “Forgot Password” button which is located underneath the password box on the device lock screen. This page will prompt you to answer security hints that you originally set when you acquired the device. If you do not remember your answers to these question, you can have an email sent to you with more instructions.
Plug the device into a computer as mentioned above. Select the device options menu on your computer screen and select “Restore Factory Settings”. This will wipe all of the data on the device, allowing a new password to be set and used.
