The power button will not move from one position or does not turn on the device.

If the power button does not turn on the device, plug in the device and make sure it is charged/charging.

If the power button does not slide to the on or off position, check if there is debris near the power button. If there is debris, clear debris using tweezers or a can of compressed air and try again.

If the power button still does not slide, with nothing restricting its path, it will need to be replaced. The power button replacement guide can be accessed here.

The device will not power on even when plugged in and charging.

If the device won’t turn on when plugged in, but a different adapter charges the device, then the original adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If the device won’t turn on when plugged in, it could be a faulty power adapter. Try a different adapter, and if the device still will not charge or turn on, then the charging port needs to be replaced. The charging port replacement guide can be accessed here.

The ports are very tight and adapters can’t plug in completely.

Debris can easily become stuck and block the ports from making a proper connection. If there is a noticeable piece of debris in one of the ports, try to gently remove the debris with a pair of tweezers or using a can of compressed air.

If the debris cannot be removed, replace the blocked port.

The charging port replacement guide can be accessed here.

The auxiliary port repalcement guide can be accessed here.

If the ports still fail to function (will not charge device or does not produce sound when plugged into a device) they may need to be replaced.
