Remove the handle cover
- Make sure the hammer is disconnected from power before beginning any repair.
- Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove two screws securing the handle cover.

- Swing the bottom of the handle cover away from the hammer, then pull the cover down, toward the power cord, to remove it.

Remove the power cord
- Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the screw securing the power cord bracket.

- Lift the bottom edge of the bracket away from the hammer slightly, then pull down to remove it.
- During reassembly, make sure the top hooked part of the bracket is inserted properly into its slot.

- Use a 2.5 mm flathead screwdriver to loosen the two set screws holding in the power cord wires.

- Remove the power cord.

- Slide the power cord guard off of the power cord.
- During reassembly, install this guard on the new power cord.

Prepare the new power cord
- Use 10 gauge wire strippers to strip about 1/8 inch of insulation off of each wire of the new power cord.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

What does the flashing red indicator light indicate specifically? The green light is on but the red light underneath is also flashing.
