This page only provides help on changing your Internet browser window to full-screen mode. If you’re trying to change your general computer screen to where it takes up the entire width and length of your display, you may need to change the video resolution. See: How to view or change the screen resolution of a monitor.

If pressing F11 does not have any effect, you may need to press the Fn key, and while pressing that key, press F11.

To set an Internet browser like Safari to full screen on a macOS computer, press Command+Control+F. Alternatively, you can click the green circle near the top-left corner of the browser window. To restore the browser window’s original size, press Command+Control+F, or move the mouse to the top of the screen, then click the green button when it appears. Hovering the mouse cursor over the green button presents additional options.

In full-screen mode on a Mac, the browser’s address bar and toolbars are still displayed.
