No matter what you do, you can’t get your DVD player to turn on.

Make Sure the Device is Plugged in.

If the device will not turn on, unplug from the wall then plug the chord back in.

Check the chord to make sure device is turned on.

Press the power button.

Press the open/close button firmly.

Turn Device off then back on.

Skip to next scene to make sure DVD works properly.

Make sure DVD is spinning. You should be able to hear it.

Remove DVD from the device.

Make sure the picture side is up.

Check the back of the DVD to make sure there are no scratches.

Rub with soft cloth to remove dust or smudges.

Check if the TV is switched on.

Make sure the TV is on the correct input.

Check the video connection.

Check the audio/video cable connections to the TV.

Sometimes a small amount of picture distortion may appear. This is not a malfunction.

Connect the unit directly to the TV.

Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front panel.

Reduce the distance to the unit.

Replace the batteries in the remote control.

Re-insert the batteries with their polarities (+/– signs) as indicated.

Unplug the AC cord from the wall outlet for 5-10 seconds.

Then plug device back in.
