I recently replaced my battery for the macbook pro late 2008 model number A1281, I have a weared problem with that - System shuts down while connected to power when it is Turned On.
I tried NVRAM reset also but no luck, Any help on this would be appreciable.

Have just received the A1281 replacement battery. However it does not charge. The magsafe light is on green but the battery is not charging. When I put in my old battery the magsafe goes to amber and it starts to charge. Any ideas?

I just bought a new battery to replace A1281, and I have the same issue as you : the battery is not charging, power charger light is green.
I’ve tried to reset SMC, but it didn’t solve anything.
