              Low Beam Bulb               
  • Gather appropriate tools such as gloves for protection and a screwdriver. Ensure that your car’s headlights are off.

  • Locate the lever to open the hood. This lever should be to the left on the driver’s side. Pull up the lever to pop open the hood.

  • Locate the cover for the headlight (black, circular) that needs to be removed.

  • Rotate the cover counter clockwise to remove it.

  • Locate the light on the inside of the headlight once the cover is removed.It should look like this.

  • Nudge the light (socket and bulb) with the help of a screwdriver to pull it out. Use gloves and be careful not to touch the bulb.

  • Unplug the bulb from the socket. The bulb should look like this

  • Look up what bulb is appropriate for your make, model and year.You can do so by going to your auto parts store and ask an associate to provide the information. You can also check online.

  • Plug the new bulb, into the socket.

  • Insert the socket with the bulb into this hole, and the twist clock wise to secure the bulb.

  • Go to the light switch and turn on the low beams.

  • Go to the front of the car to check to make sure the bulb is working.

  • Now that you know the bulb works you can screw the protective lid (screw counter clock wise) back on and close the hood of your car
