              Getting the multimeter ready               
  • Set your multimeter to diode testing.
  • Make sure your meter is on continuity, and not resistance.

              Attach multimeter leads to battery               
  • Make sure the polarity is not reversed, or damage can occur to the battery.
  • Make sure your multimeter battery is a 9v, otherwise button cells will drain quickly.

              Wait 1 to 2 hours
