No matter what you do, you can’t get your phone to turn on.

Before opening the device, make sure you firmly hold the PWR button for 5-10 seconds.

Plug your phone into your charger. If it does not seem to connect automatically, gently, but firmly push the end of the charger into the charging port on the phone.

Have your phone provider check your charger to determine if it is the problem and not your battery.

If you have determined that your battery needs replacing, a 3.7 V 1000 mAh LG lithium-ion battery specific to this phone will need to be purchased. Refer to Battery guide to fix the problem.

Visibility in the screen is compromised

The usual home screen and display does not show up and instead the screen is all black or all white

Turn the phone off and then turn it back on. If this does not work, the connection between the phone’s hardware and the screen may be compromised. To fix the problem, refer to guide to replace the Screen Assembly.

First try to change the brightness settings of your phone. If this does not work the back-light has probably malfunctioned.

Ask your mobile provider if there are any software updates available for your phone. If there are, have the provider update the phone, or find the update online.

If the phone is not functioning correctly, or is functioning extremely slow, the problem may lie in the circuit board of the phone. Take the phone to your local vendor and have them diagnose the problem. Refer to the guide on replacing the phone’s Circuit Board.

The camera either does not take pictures or they appear fuzzy

Clean the lens with a non-abrasive cloth. If this does not work, then turn the phone off and turn it back on. Otherwise, take the phone to a local repair shop or distributor to fix the problem.

The phone does not ‘snap’ open, or will not stay closed

When the phone is having difficulty staying open, staying closed, or not closing all the way, the problem is most likely a broken hinge. Make sure the hinge is clear of any obstructions and dust.

The screen looks normal, but the phone does not respond when buttons on the keyboard are pressed

Turn the phone off and then turn it back on. If this does not work, refer to the guide to replace the Keyboard.

“Phone call sounds are fuzzy or silent”

Refer to the guide for replacing the Speakers

The phone will not process any signal and has trouble making calls or sending texts

The likely cause of this problem is a bad built in amplifier inside the phone.
