What you need

              Battery               
  • Hold your phone with the back casing facing you and the bottom of the phone towards the sky.
  • Push down on the cover and slide down to remove. You should only have to apply minimal pressure.

Step 2

  • Insert your finger into the small indentation above the battery.
  • Push down on the battery and pull it away from the phone; it will pop out.

              Motherboard               
  • Grasp the edges of the phone with one hand.
  • Unscrew the six 5.0-mm Phillips #000 screws located around each side of the back panel of the phone.
  • The screws are tight, so you will have to use a little force when unscrewing them.

Step 4

  • Insert the spudger into the tab at the top of the back panel and push to release the panel.
  • The back panel will then lift away from the rest of the phone.

Step 5

  • Flip the phone open with the back side still facing you.
  • Grasping the phone from underneath, use your fingers to push up on the keypad until the motherboard can be easily lifted up from the plastic outer casing of the phone.
  • When you do this the plastic camera button will pop out. It is not directly attached to anything. Make sure to save it for reassembly because it must be placed back on its tab at the side with the camera icon facing right side up to work correctly.

  • With a pair of tweezers, pull the gold flex cable up disconnecting the motherboard.

  • Use your fingers to lift the motherboard up and away from the phone.
