No matter what you do, you can’t get your phone to turn on.

If your phone isn’t turning on, then it may have a drained battery. This problem can be addressed by plugging the phone into the charger and leaving the battery to charge for the full 8 hours. You would then hold the power button down for approximately 3-5 seconds until the screen lights up, or an emblem appears.

It is possible that the phone does not appear to be working because the display is bad. If this is the case, you will need to replace the LCD screen by following the installation guide.

If the Mother Board is defective, or becomes sufficiently damaged, then the phone will completely cease to function. If this is the case, one can replace this part by following our guide for installing the Mother Board.

Your phone will not charge or hold a charge.

If the phone gives no indication that it is charging when the charging cable is connected, then the charging port may be dislodged. You can attempt to reseat the port.

If the battery is only holding charge for a short time, it is sometimes possible that draining the battery fully, and then recharging for the full eight hours while the phone is turned off. If this does nothing to repair the battery, it may be necessary to get a new battery for your phone. In this case, you would simply take the back panel off, take the old battery out and replace it with the new battery (carefully lining up the positive and negative sides), then reattach the back panel. If step-by-step instructions will benefit you, take a look at our battery installation guide.

The display is an unchanging grey or white when turned on.

The screen is often the first part of the phone to break if the phone is dropped or stepped on. You will know that the screen is damaged by the crack or discoloration of the front or inside LCD. If this is the case, you will need to follow the repair guide for installing a new screen.

You can reset the phone by removing the back panel, disconnecting the battery for at least a minute, and then reconnecting the battery and restarting the phone by holding the power button for 3 to 5 seconds. If this does not work, you may be able to replace the Mother Board (which runs the operating system) by following our guide to install a new Mother Board.

The person on the other end cannot hear you.

It is possible that the microphone is acting up due to recent water damage. If this is the case, you should immediately follow the steps in our battery installation guide to remove the battery and allow the electronics to dry. You may also wish to further disassemble the device to facilitate faster and more complete drying. Once the components are dry, reassemble the phone for use.

Your head phones will not plug in, or you cannot hear when they are plugged in.

The audio port is connected to the mother board through six points that have been soldered. If one of these connections is broken, the audio port will not work. If this happens, you will need to follow our guide for installing a new audio port.

The entry to the audio port can become blocked with dirt and grime that will not allow the head phones to fully plug in to the port. If this is the issue, you will often be able to see the particle lodged in the port hole; if you can, use an unfolded paper clip or another sharp object to try and dislodge the particle. If this does not work, you may need to install a new audio port.
