Introduction
If your battery is swollen be extra careful. Swollen batteries can be very dangerous, so wear eye protection and exercise due caution, or take it to a professional if you’re not sure how to proceed.

- Press the button on the lower right side of the LG V20 to open the clamp that holds the back cover on the back side of the phone.
- Remove the back cover.

Battery
- Before disassembling your phone, discharge the battery below 25%. A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire and/or explode if accidentally punctured.
- Insert a spudger or your fingernail under the battery at the small recess on the lower edge.
- Be careful not to deform or puncture the battery.
- Pry up and remove the battery.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
For optimal performance and to avoid software sided errors, calibrate your newly installed battery: Drain battery below 10%, then charge uninterrupted to 100%.

Is this battery the same quality or a least pretty close to the OEM battery of the LG v20?

Don’t buy this battery. It looks like an OEM but it’s not. That’s fine but I’ve had this for a couple months and it quickly discharges now. I’ve gone back to my original for the time being.
The only reason why I purchased it from here was the company which I have mad respect for. But this issue isn’t their problem and we’re talking about an old phone which LG doesn’t even make batteries for. People will still come here since it’s the last phone with easy access to the battery and it’s just a great budget phone!

Just charged my new battery up from ifixit store. Sooo much better then my old one. (4 years old.)
Will update if there’s been an issue with it within the first year or two if i remember (i mean to.).
