The battery does not hold a charge or charge at all.

Test the cord on other devices that have the same charging port. If the cord works with other devices, the charging cord is not the problem. If the cord does not work with other devices, purchase a new cord.

There are a few ways to verify if your smartphone battery is bad. First perform a visual inspection. If you notice any bulges, corrosion, or stains, the battery is likely bad. If there are no obvious physical defects, place the battery on a flat surface and try to spin it. If the battery spins freely like a top, it is likely bad. Finally, if your battery drops rapidly by several percentage points at a time, or fails to charge, see the LG Tribute Battery Replacement Guide.

If the charging cord and the battery are good, the charging port needs to be replaced. Refer to the LG Tribute Motherboard Replacement Guide.

The screen is not lighting, responding to touch, and/or it is cracked.

If a black dot(s) appear on the screen, it is likely that the one or more pixels are dead. Dead pixels will always appear black against any color background. Some people have been able to repair dead pixels by applying pressure.

Locate the precise locations of the dead pixels, turn the screen off, and apply gentle but firm pressure with a narrow-tipped object. To avoid scratching the screen, cover the screen with a scratch-free cloth. Apply pressure about 10 times and then turn the screen back on. If the dead pixels do not light up after several attempts, you may need to replace the screen using the LG Tribute Touchscreen Replacement Guide.

If the screen is black or white, make sure the phone is on and the battery is charged. If the battery is charged and the phone is on, and the display is still blank, the screen will need to be replaced. Refer to the LG Tribute Touchscreen Replacement Guide.

When the camera glass is dirty, photo quality is likely blurry and dull. To easily clean the camera glass, take a microfiber cloth and fold it into a triangle. Use the corner to then clean the lens.

If the microfiber cloth does not resolve the issue, use a small blower brush to remove dust and debris from the lens.

If the previous two recommendations do not resolve the issue, there is likely dirt trapped in the phone. If this is the case, the phone will need to be taken apart. See LG Tribute Rear Facing Camera Replacement Guide.
