Your phone does not respond to attempts at powering on

First, make sure the device has enough battery. If not, plug the phone in and leave it to charge for a little while. If the device will not charge at all, there could be several reasons.

If the charging cord is not the problem, you may have a faulty battery that needs to be replaced. See this guide for further instructions.

Since the charging port is open and on the exterior of the phone, it is highly susceptible to dirt or other debris. To clean it, use short bursts from a can of compressed air, or gently poke around with a toothpick. Use a flashlight to see that any debris is gone. If cleaning the port does not resolve the issue, you may need to replace the port. See this guide for further instructions.

When you touch the screen the phone shows no response

Sometimes, the touchscreen is unresponsive because the display is covered in debris, dust particles or dirt and so you need to clean the screen to make sure that this is not the cause of your issues. To clean the screen, never use a cleaning solution such as Windex. Only use a little water and results are best when using a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.

A common cause of an unresponsive touchscreen is an overloaded phone. Your phone may need a reboot to give the device a fresh start or you may need to clear up some storage on your device to allow the device to perform its tasks properly.

A common cause of an unresponsive touchscreen is a cracked screen. Your device probably requires a new screen to properly function again. Refer to the screen replacement guide for more information.

The phone cannot perform functions that require connection to service such as calls, texts or internet searches

If your SIM card is not connecting to service, this either means that the SIM card needs to be taken out and put back in or it needs to be replaced completely. The SIM card may need to be taken out because debris on the card may interrupt its proper function. If this is the case, after you cleaned off the SIM card and placed in back in the phone, it should work properly again. If this approach does not work and the SIM card needs to be replaced completely, refer to the SIM card replacement guide to move forward.

Sometimes, your device cannot connect to service because of a faulty antenna. This may require a new antenna to solve the issue. Refer to the antenna replacement guide to learn more.

When using the camera feature, photographs have poor quality

Poor quality photos are often a result of dirt or dust building up on the camera lens. This can be easily fixed by taking a cloth and wiping down the camera lens to remove the dirt or dust. Test the camera by opening up the camera app and viewing the quality of the images after cleaning the lens. If the images are still poor quality, it may be an issue with the camera itself.

A common cause of poor quality photos is due to the camera being set to an incorrect mode. Cameras often have various modes depending on lighting conditions. The LG Q6 camera should be automatically set to “auto” mode. If the word “auto” does not appear in the bottom left hand corner of the camera app, your camera may be set to “manual” mode which can be impacting the quality of your images. Make sure “auto” mode is selected, or experiment with manual mode to increase photo quality.

If cleaning your camera lens and adjusting the mode does not provide you with higher quality images, you may find a problem with the software of your camera app. You can find several apps available in the Play Store that can check if your default camera app is running smoothly.

The LG Q6 will charge slowly or won’t charge when connected to a power source

Your device may not be charging because of a faulty charger. Clean the charger in order to get rid of any waste remnants on the charger, check the charger for any damage to the cord, and then try plugging the phone back in and see if the phone charges properly. If it does not, then this means that there is permanent damage to the charger and it must be replaced.

A phone needs a new, updated battery in order to function properly and charge successfully. If the battery is not charging, this is a sign that the battery needs to be replaced with a newer battery that is meant for the LG Q6. You may use the LG Q6 battery replacement guide in order to replace your battery.
