“You keep trying to turn on your phone, but it won’t seem to start.”

Firstly, before assuming more critical damage, attempt to restart the phone by clicking the ON bottom momentarily. The issue may have been a temporary error in the software.

The battery might need to be charged, or it has become bad. Try charging the phone first, if the battery doesn’t charge or the phone still doesn’t turn on, the battery or charge port may need to be replaced.

Some times the USB cable is damaged and it hinders the phone’s ability to recharge. If this occurs, check if the cable is compatible with other products and check if it works or not. If it doesn’t work just simply replace the USB cable.

A damaged battery disallows the phone from turning on. To make sure that your battery is working and not the source of the problem, check the battery by using prongs and a multi-meter in order to check for voltage. If your battery is not functioning, then remove it and replace it.

If the battery and the USB cable are both functioning. Then the logic board may be impaired. In order to fix this, buy a new logic board and replace it. The logic board is what allows the phone to communicate within itself.

The phone may be turned on, but not displaying on the screen. You may be able to notice this if the phone still plays sounds or lights up properly while the screen is blank. If this is the case, the screen may need to be replaced. This is a very delicate process.

“No matter what you do, your phone’s camera won’t take neat pictures or work at all."

Firstly, restart the phone in order to close all the applications. This way you make sure that it’s not something more serious. This is a quick check to see if it was a temporary software issue.

Sometimes the app may be the cause of the problem. If this occurs, just simply try a different camera app.

Banging the lens against your hand can make the camera work at times. However, if this doesn’t work the electrical components of the camera may be dirty, or broken. Simply by removing the camera, possibly cleaning it, or just replacing it this can be fixed.

“Have you ever had a loud speaker that sounds distorted or muddy, or simply doesn’t make any sound?"

Before assuming that the loud speaker needs a replacement, restart the phone.

Sometimes the loud speaker isn’t working because of the application; attempt to get a different one to check the differences. If there are still issues, continue.

Often it occurs that the volume settings are not adjusted appropriately. Check the volume settings before moving on to a more serious issue such as replacing the loud speaker.

A damaged loud speaker causes the sound to become distorted, muddy, or nonexistent. If this occurs, it’s a good idea to replace the front or back speaker.

“Have you ever had problems with the buttons getting sticky and not depressing properly? These might be some causes and solutions”

Sometimes the cracks surrounding the buttons may be sticky and causing the buttons to slowly depress. this can be fixed by cleaning the buttons with water or acetone, use very little in cleaning the phone. You can remove the cover to reach these peices to clean them.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, the electrical components could be dirty from the result of spills or otherwise, causing permanent damage. This can be easily fixed by replacing the buttons themselves after removing the cover or by substituting the immediate components around them.

The shell immediately surrounding the buttons may have warped and cause the buttons to depress incorrectly. The shell should be replaced in order for the buttons to work.
