The LG Intuition will not charge when inserting the phone’s micro-usb port into the charging port.

Check to see if the charging port contains dust or if something is blocking the port. Use a compressed air can to clean any dust or filament that might affect the charging port. Also, ensure that the right cable is being used. Try using a different micro-usb cable. If the problem occurs after these possible solutions, consider replacing the phone’s charging port.
