No matter what you try, your G2 mini will not turn on when you hit the power button.

The battery on your LG G2 could be dead. Try plugging it in for at least 30 minutes, then try pressing the power button again. Make sure to use the original G2 mini charger and cable, not all chargers are created equal.

The battery of your G2 mini may be bad. Batteries can wear over time to the point that they no longer hold a charge. They can also be damaged due to factors like exposure to moisture and heat. In this case you should replace the battery using the battery replacement guide.

It is possible that your G2 could be powering on, but the LCD display is broken or the back-light is not functioning. Check for start-up chimes or vibrations when the device is booting. Try moving the volume rocker to test if sounds come from the speaker or if the vibrator goes off when the phone hits “vibrate” mode". If these actions work, your phone could have a bad display. Also try holding a flashlight up to the display and look very carefully. Try swiping on different sections of the screen. If you can see faint outlines of icons and text on the screen, then the LCD back light may not be functioning.

When apps take a long time to load, transition animations stutter, or apps freeze and crash.

The Android cache could be corrupt causing app freezes or sluggish performance. Take these steps to clear the cache partition:

  • From the home screen tap AppsTap SettingsTap General tabTap StorageTap CachedTap OKThe cached data will clear, this may take several seconds.

A faulty app could be affecting the permanence of your device. Try checking for new app updates, uninstalling suspect apps or installing a resource manager to find apps that are using up data and CPU cycles.

When you cannot seem to make phone calls or send and receive text messages.

You may not be within range of a cell tower. Check that your device has signal where you are.

There could be a bug in the software that controls the phone’s wireless radio. Restarting the phone usually fixes the issue. Also try checking for new software updates from the settings menu.

The issue could be a temporary network issue. Try changing location or waiting 24 hours. Otherwise call your service provider.

Make sure that the device is not in Airplane Mode.

The display is on, but nothing happens when you touch it.

Oil or water on the screen can cause it to malfunction. Clean it using a microfiber cloth.

It is possible for the sensor that reads touch input to fail. In this case you will want to seek a replacement guide for the LG G2 mini digitizer.

Interacting with the screen through gloves or other materials will not register finger touches. Take of any materials that could be covering your fingers.

Headphones are plugged in, but there is not sound from them when audio is playing.

Go into the sound settings and make sure that the phone is not muted. Pushing the volume up button on the volume rocker when inside of a media app will usually un-mute it.

The volume may be too low for you to hear the audio coming from the headphones. In this case, use the volume up buttons to increase media volume. From the sound settings panel you should be able to increase the volumes of other things like notifications and alarms in addition to media volume.

The headphones port may be damaged due to wear or water damage. In this case it will need to be replaced.

The headphones you using could be broken. Try another plugging in another device and see if the audio plays through it.
