- Power off the device before starting battery replacement.
- Remove SD card and SIM Card.
- With the opening tool, gently pry the back plate away from the main board. The corners are the easiest spots to start at.

Peeling Back Cover Off
- Gently pull the back cover away from the adhesive on the battery.
- It may be possible to use a blow dryer on low heat but I’d advise against it unless absolutely necessary.

Detaching Old Battery
- Slowly and gently lift the power cable upwards.
- Unscrew the 4 screws keeping the battery in place, set aside.

Removing the Battery
- Remove the battery by pulling up gently.

I was going to do this to fix my son’s tablet and then I looked up the cost of a replacement battery on eBay. Almost $100! Do you have a good source for a new battery?

Unfortunately, no, there does not seem to be a good part supplier for the G Pad X 8.0. As you mention, the best I see is eBay at $82.

I have researched this battery, the LG BL T-20. I found one that is 4800 MaH. The LG Gpad X8.0 has the same battery that is 4650 MaH. If I order the 4800 MaH, will it work?
