No matter what you do, you can’t get your phone to turn on.
The LG enV Touch VX11000 turns on by holding the Power/End key beneath the front screen and to the right, or by holding the Power/End key to the right of the QWERTY keyboard on the inside of the phone.
The LG enV Touch may not be turning on because the battery is drained or defective. Plug the device into the respective charger for a few minutes, then turn it on. If it still does not turn on, please refer to the section “Phone does not charge”.
While talking on the phone, your calls get dropped randomly.
Check the strength of the cell reception that displays at the top right corner of the screen. If one or no bars display, then the phone is in a bad cell reception area. Move to a different location. If this does not work, then the phone’s operating system may be malfunctioning. Restart the phone by holding down the Power/End button for several seconds, and then press the button again to power it back on.
The screen either has distorted images or is completely black.
The LG enV Touch may not have sufficient charge to illuminate the screen or power it on. Plug the device into the charger and turn on the phone. If it still does not turn on, please refer to the section “Phone does not charge”.
If the screen is cracked, then the plastic screen protector needs a replacement. If there is faulty coloring or distorted images, then the entire LCD screen beneath the plastic screen protector may need a replacement. Please refer to the LG EnV Touch VX11000 Screen Assembly Replacement guide.
If there are no problems with the battery or LCD screen, then the screen may not be properly connected to the motherboard. Please refer to the LG EnV Touch VX11000 Screen Assembly Replacement guide.
The keys do not behave as they should.
If the keys do not respond to pressure, then the phone’s operating system may be malfunctioning. Restart the phone by holding the Power/End key for several seconds, then press the Power/End key again to boot it up. If this does not help, please refer to “The keys are physically damaged”.
If the keys are physically damaged, the keyboard may need a replacement. Please refer to the LG EnV Touch VX11000 Keyboard Replacement guide.
The battery does not charge, even when the charger is plugged in.
If your phone can’t hold a charge, first check to see if the charger is broken. If your phone works with a different charger or a different phone does not work with your charger, then obtain a new charger.
If your phone does not charge and you have verified that the charger works, the phone’s battery may have reached the end of its life. The battery will need a replacement. Please refer to our LG EnV Touch VX11000 Battery Replacement Guide.
The phone turns off while in use.
