Remove Left-Side Cover
- Slide switch to ‘open’ on left side of reel to remove left cover.

Spool Assembly
- Remove the palm-side cover, then spool assembly from center frame of reel.

Lube-Port Screw
- Remove lube-port screw using small Phillips screwdriver.

Lube-Port Cover
- Remove cover off of lube-port.

Handle Screw
- Remove screw and handle nut from reel.

Removal of Handle
- Remove handle and handle nut retainer.

Drag-Dial
- Unscrew star-drag until it is loose, remove it and the handle washer from the shaft.
- Note: You may have to hold the reels gears in place in order to unscrew the drag, as it will try to spin the gears.

Exterior Right-Cover Screws
- Remove three spool cover screws from reel.

Cap
- Remove cast control cap.

Removal of Right-Cover
- Pry 2 drag spring washers, and 1 click holder washer off to finish removing side cover.

Removal of Pinion
- Remove the pinion yoke and 2 pinion yoke springs

Removal of Main Gear
- Remove drive gear and accompanying drag and ratchet washers.

Apply Oil
- Apply oil to main gear if desired.

Make any necessary changes
- At this point, you have disassembled the reel enough to where you can clean parts, remove dust and debris , or replace individual parts
