Introduction

If you notice your lamp’s cords and plug are intact, or your lamp’s lighting bulb is properly functioning, then your lamp’s lighting socket may need to be replaced.

What you need

Step 1

              Screw Terminal               
  • Unplug the lamp.

  • Rotate the bulb counterclockwise to remove the light bulb.

  • Rotate the lamp shade counterclockwise.

  • Take the three parts aside after dismantling the lamp shade.

  • Dismantle the lamp shaft by rotating it counterclockwise.

  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two 3 mm screws from the silver cover.
  • Pull down both the silver cover and the black screw terminal.

Step 7

  • Separate the light bulb socket from the silver cover by pulling the silver metal hasp in right-downward direction towards the lamp shaft.
  • Exert force on the both left and right hand sides of the hasp and then pull the hasp downward.

Exert force on the both left and right hand sides of the hasp and then pull the hasp downward.

Step 8

  • Replace the old bulb socket with a newly-purchased one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Replacing the screw terminal of the floor lamp is relatively easy, but be cautious to deal with the step of the substitution of the light socket.
