Having too much cached data can take up memory from the processor causing your device to run slow. Clearing your cache will free up memory for the processor. Clearing your Cached data will delete settings and information from your apps but will not delete files. You may have to restart certain apps as if you did a fresh install of the app. Go into ‘Settings’ and open up ‘Storage’. Under Storage, select ‘Cached Data’ and select ‘OK’. This will clear your cached data. Be sure you do NOT select ‘Clear Data’, as this will delete all apps and files from your device.

Find ‘Build Number’ and click five times. Click ‘Yes’ to turn on Developer Options. Now go back to ‘System Settings’ and select ‘Developer Options’. Turn off ‘Windows Animation Scale’, ‘Transition Animation Scale’, and ‘Animator Duration Scale’.
