The laptop does not charge when plugged in.
Make sure that the power adapter is fully plugged in . If the computer is plugged in and shows no sign or response, the adapter may be broken. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.
The battery runs out very fast or does not respond to being plugged in.
If you are certain that the power adapter is working properly, or the laptop will only power on when plugged in, then the battery is faulty. A guide for replacing the battery can be found here.
The laptop doesn’t connect to WiFi.
Make sure that the laptop is not in airplane mode. Go to the laptop’s settings and ensure that airplane mode is off and WiFi is turned on.
If you have checked the settings mentioned above, it is possible that the WiFi router needs to be restarted. Power off and remove the cables from the router. Wait a moment, and plug everything back in and turn the router on.
The fingerprint sensor is not recognizing your finger.
Make sure that you are using the same finger that you used to set up the fingerprint recognition feature. The sensor may be working as intended, but the laptop will only recognize fingerprints that have previously been set up. Windows has support for multiple fingerprints, so you can add a few of your fingerprints to expand functionality.
Over time, the sensor may become dirty or greasy. Be sure to wipe the sensor with a microfiber cloth regularly to avoid this problem.
If the sensor no longer properly recognizes your finger, the sensor may be faulty. A guide for replacing the sensor can be found here.
The speakers sound muffled, distorted, or are not making noise at all.
Check the laptop’s audio jack to make sure that there is no debris that might interfere with audio play. Clear the jack of any foreign objects.
Open the sound settings by clicking on the sound icon in the bottom right portion of the taskbar and select “Open Sound settings.” Select “Choose your output device” and make sure the volume is not muted.
The speakers may be blown out and need replacing. For information on how to replace the laptop’s speakers, visit the guide here.
