Introduction

The headphone jack on the Lenovo 720-12IKB is necessary to listen to the audio through a headset.

Use caution when replacing components in your Laptop as you could damage other components.

What you need

              Battery               
  • Unscrew and remove the four 5.5 mm Phillips #00 screws on the back panel.

  • Pull down on the cover to remove it and you will see the battery after removing the cover.

  • Unscrew and remove the 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws on the battery to remove it from the motherboard.

  • Remove the battery wires from the socket on the motherboard above the battery.

  • Finally remove the battery from the case.

              Headphone Jack               
  • The headphone jack can be found on the top right of the chassis.
  • Start by removing the 2.0 mm Phillips #00 screw.

  • Undo the clip and remove the connector.

  • Pull the connector to the right to remove it from the clip.

  • Remove the headphone jack from the chassis.
