Introduction

Your laptop needs a battery to provide power to the system. Without a fully functioning battery you will notice a huge impact in performance and reliability. You should change your battery to increase the longevity of your laptop.

There are other dangers with batteries that can happen, please use caution when handling a punctured or swollen battery.

What you need

Step 1

• Unscrew and remove the four 5.5 mm Phillips #00 screws on the back panel.

• Pull down on the cover to remove it and you will see the battery after removing the cover.

Step 3

• Unscrew and remove the 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws on the battery to remove it from the motherboard.

Step 4

• Remove the battery wires from the socket on the motherboard above the battery.

Step 5

• Finally remove the battery from the case.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
